Infraestructure

The Marine Zoology Unit is located in the Science Park of the University of Valencia in a purpose-built accommodation furnished with modern facilities for studies in parasitology and conservation biology.

 

The facilities of the Cavanilles Institute allocated to the Marine Zoology Unit include two dry labs equipped with equipment for optical microscopy, histology and image analysis, a seminar room that can accommodate 20 people and a computer room furnished with four network servers. Additional facilities of the unit include a wet lab, which is well  equipped for the dissection of marine animals, including medium sized cetaceans, and a 30m2 walk-in freezer plus several smaller freezers.
